Ways To Support

Community support helps the Sacramento Police Foundation invest in programs and resources that strengthen the Sacramento Police Department, develop future leaders, and care for the people who serve our city.

Whether you make a financial contribution, sponsor a program, provide meals for employees working long shifts, or connect SPF with other community partners, your support makes a meaningful difference.

Make a Donation

Financial contributions allow SPF to respond to priority needs that may not be fully covered by the City’s operating budget. Donors may support a specific area of work or allow SPF to direct their gift where it is needed most.

Your donation can help support:

• Multiply Leadership Training for front-line SPD supervisors
• Magnet Academy scholarships, uniforms, educational activities, and career experiences
• Recognition, appreciation, and wellness efforts for sworn and professional staff
• Meals and refreshments for personnel working holidays and major city events
• Other emerging Department and community needs

Become a Program or Event Sponsor

Businesses, foundations, and community organizations can make a larger impact by sponsoring a specific SPF program, activity, or event.

Sponsorship opportunities may include Multiply Leadership Training, Magnet Academy scholarships and student experiences, employee recognition activities, holiday meals, team-building and memorial events, and SPF fundraising events.

Depending on the opportunity, sponsors may receive recognition through SPF’s website, social media, event materials, program communications, and other appropriate channels.

Provide Meals or      In-Kind Support

One of the most immediate ways businesses and community members can help is by providing meals, refreshments, or gift cards for Sacramento Police Department personnel working holidays, extended shifts, training sessions, and major city events.

SPF coordinates meal support for occasions such as:

• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas day, swing, and graveyard shifts
• The SPD Communications Center during the holidays
• Multiply instructional sessions and team-building activities
• Employee recognition and appreciation weeks
• Major events such as the Shamrock Half Marathon, Pride Festival, Women’s Run, Aftershock, GoldenSky, Ironman, Run to Feed the Hungry, and the California International Marathon

Needs may range from coffee and breakfast for approximately 70 employees to full meal support for more than 230 personnel. Businesses may help by donating prepared meals, beverages, snacks, coffee, restaurant or grocery gift cards, or funds designated for meal expenses.

Because staffing levels, locations, delivery times, and food needs vary, all in-kind contributions must be coordinated with SPF in advance. Our team will work with you to identify an appropriate opportunity and confirm the number of people being served, delivery instructions, and any dietary or logistical considerations.

Engage Your Company

Companies can support SPF while giving employees a meaningful way to invest in the Sacramento community.

Opportunities may include:

• Corporate donations and program sponsorships
• Employee-giving campaigns
• Employer matching gifts
• Workplace fundraisers
• Donated professional services
• Introductions to prospective funders or community partners
• In-kind contributions of food, beverages, supplies, or event resources
